Team Orange Spyker reached their goal for this year: finishing the Le Mans 24 hour race. After all the problems with the gearbox during the night it seemed to be an impossible aim for the small Dutch outfit. However the brave team kept on fighting which resulted in Hans Hugenholtz crossing the finishline on Sunday afternoon at 16:00 in the Spyker C8 Double 12R.
Team Orange Spyker ended up in 30th place overall and tenth in the GT class. The race was dominated from the early hours by the Bentley of Kristensen / Capello / Smith, followed by the sister car of Brabham / Capello / Blundell.
Team Orange Spyker would like to thank everybody that supported them during the hard fought hours of the race. For sure we will be back next year and then we aim to fight for a GT podium finish!
