Gearbox problems play up for Spyker in warmup | |

| Team Orange Spyker suffered from gearbox problems in the warmup session for the 24 hour race at Le Mans this morning. Norman Simon, who drove the Spyker in the war up, ran into problems halfway through the session. Fortunately he was able to reach the pits so that the engineers could start immediately with the repair works. “Suddenly I lost the drive”, Norman Simon said. “Especially in the corners there was nothing. Luckily on the straights I had some power so I could cruise back to the pits”, the German concluded. The team is now busy mounting a new gearbox for the race. The problem never occurred before during practice so the team expects no further problems with this. |
