Team Orange Spyker satisfied with qualifying results
Le Mans live update 12 June 2003 24:00
Qualifying for the 24 hour race of Le Mans just finished. Unfortunately Team Orange Spyker was unable to improve their time. A combination of traffic and the darkness stopped Tom Coronel from setting a faster time. "With the incoming darkness you are just missing that little bit extra that you need to set a mega fast lap. Especially if you consider that in our class you really have to look out for the faster prototypes that are trying to pass you. A couple of times I saw cars in my mirror that were close behind me, but in the dark it is hard to judge whether they are already next to you or still 20 meters behind. Anyhow we made a lot of progress with the setup of the car today, so I think we can do well in the race", Coronel concluded.

Team Orange Spyker will start the race from 47th place which means 12th place in their GT class. The goal for the will now be to survive the 24 hour race that will start on Saturday at 16:00. We will cover the race on this site over the full 24 hours so please check in here for the latest news.
