Team Orange Spyker passes scrutineering
10 June 2003 - Le Mans live update
Today Team Orange Spyker passed scrutineering for the Le Mans 24 hour race. Despite some small irregularities the car passed scrutineering. Strangely enough the car appeared to be two centimeters too short. Technical manager Peter van Erp had no explanation for this, as the chassis that was entered is the same one that had raced at Sebring. The team is now preparing some modifications for the rear bodywork so that the car will be allowed to take part in qualifying and the race.

During the scrutineering procedure all drivers were interviewed for the race fans that were present at the Place des Jacobins. Birthday boy Hans Hugenholtz praised the development of the car since its debut last year. Norman Simon agreed with this. He pointed at the changed airflow and suspension that already made a great difference. Tom Coronel could only hope and wait. After all he only sat in the car for the very first time this morning for a small explanation of all the buttons. "Ask me tomorrow about how the car feels. For sure it looks superb. Everything is well prepared so I expect everything to be OK. At least I know the track quite well now and I drove some different GT cars in the past", Tom concluded
